2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
The 2018 vintage benefited from what is regarded as the most ideal ripening season in Margaret River’s history.
The hand-picked fruit, comprising 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot and 8% Malbec was matured in 44% new French oak barrels for 18 months.
A dense mulberry colour, the nose present aromas of violets, blackberry and cedar. The wine is concentrated but elegant, with beautiful tannins and length.
The palate displays flavours of blackberry, mulberry, mocha and spices, including cinnamon bark.
This remarkable wine will reward appropriate cellaring for at least 15 years.
